Answers…

1. How does Thermage work?

Using the patented ThermaCool™ radiofrequency technology, Thermage applies deep, intense heat along with immediate cooling to the targeted area. This in turn smoothes away wrinkles and results in collagen contraction which stimulates long-term collagen production for a more youthful, toned skin.

2. Why is collagen so important for youthful skin?

The skin is made of two layers. In the second layer a protein called collagen provides strength and fullness in the skin similar to the plumpness in a baby’s skin. As we age, our collagen is depleted as we produce less and less of it. This causes the skin to sag and wrinkle with age.

3. What does the Thermage treatment feel like?

The patented ThermaCool™ radiofrequency technology lets us create a precisely controlled process that simultaneously sends heat down to the second layer and collagen while the cooling protects the top layer of the skin. Patients experience a brief hot sensation followed by a cool sensation.

4. How long does the Thermage procedure take?

The Thermage procedure can last 30 minutes up to 2 hours depending on the size of the area being treated.

5. What areas can be treated with Thermage?

Thermage is very effective in treating sagging, wrinkled skin on the mid to lower face, under the chin or along the jawline. It an also be used for body contouring and skin tightening on the abdomen, thighs, neck and other areas.

6. Is there any recovery time after treatment?

Thermage has no recovery time. After treatment you can quickly return to their normal daily activities. Occasionally, you may have redness in the treated area but that does soon subside.

7. How soon do I see results after Thermage?

Some patients see results immediately. However, long term results appear gradually between two to 6 months and can last for years. As your collagen production continues, you will continue noticing lifting and contouring of the skin.

8. How much does Thermage treatment cost?

Prices vary depending on the area to be treated. The cost as well as financing options will be discussed with you prior to treatment at the time of your complimentary consult.
