Rex M. Alvord, M.D.
Dr. Alvord is a general practitioner with specific expertise in the field of anesthesia, a skill which makes him particularly well suited to perform cosmetic enhancements injectables. He earned his doctorate of medicine degree in 1985 from the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland. He then completed his internship at Dwight David Eisenhower Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia and attended anesthesiology residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington D.C. with focus on pain management and regional anesthesia.
As a military doctor and a leader in the healthcare of our country’s active and retired military personnel, Dr. Alvord has seen and treated a variety of skin conditions from the moderate to the most severe giving him a wide range of expertise from which to draw on as the Medical Director with Aura Laser Skin Care.
Having practiced general medicine in the Puget Sound area since 1996 with emphasis on aesthetics in the past seven years made Dr. Alvord a strong advocate of preventative and wellness medicine. He simply believes that aesthetic services are a balance of art and science ranging from cosmetology to liquid face lifts to advanced laser technology for a variety of dermatological conditions.
