1. How does ReFirme™ Wrinkle Reduction work?

The procedure uses combined Bi-Polar Radio Frequency and Laser energies using the ELOS™ technology. It is designed to precisely heat the connective tissue within the targeted treatment area. This stimulates collagen production and produces a firming effect in lax skin.

2. What types of wrinkles can ReFirme™ Wrinkle Reduction treat?

ReFirme™ Wrinkle Reduction can treat mild to moderate wrinkles on the face and other areas. For treatment of deeper wrinkles such as nasolabial folds (the creases running from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth), a dermal filler such as Juvéderm™ may be a better option.

3. Is ReFirme™ Wrinkle Reduction safe for all skin types?

ELOS™ technology enables ReFirme™ Wrinkle Reduction to be a safe and effective solution for all skin types.

4. When do I expect to see results with ReFirme™?

Most patients start to notice improvements of wrinkles and skin texture between 3 to 5 treatment sessions. In some cases some patients will not improvement in laxity and firmness of their skin after the first treatment.

5. How many Wrinkle Reduction treatments are required?

In general you will need anywhere between 4 to 6 treatment sessions to achieve the desired outcome. The number of treatments will depend on your skin condition and will be discussed with you during our complimentary consult.

6. Does the ReFirme™ Wrinkle Reduction procedure hurt?

Most patients can undergo the procedure with minimal to no discomfort. In addition, a topical anesthetic cream and external cooling can be used to increase the comfort level.

7. How long does the procedure take?

The time will vary depending on the area being treated but in general it takes anywhere between 15 minutes to an hour to treat an area.

8. Can I go back to my normal activities after the treatment?

ReFirme™ Wrinkle Reduction is a no-downtime procedure. You can have such procedure done during your lunch hour and go back to work afterwards. Any post-procedure care steps such as using sunscreen and avoiding the sun or tanning beds will be discussed with you during the consult and after the treatment.
